Three red cards
- 57′ Pascal Struijk (Brighton) — Sunderland 0-2 Brighton. Brighton won comfortably without him.
- 62′ Ryan Gravenberch (Liverpool) — Liverpool 0-3 Manchester City. Away in front before the sending-off, and City never gave the lead back.
- 78′ Rodrigo Bentancur (Tottenham) — Manchester United 1-1 Tottenham. United still had Solanke to hold them to a draw.

What this week actually moves on the shop floor
Not a forecast — just our own read of which shirts this round makes people reach for, based on what moved in front of our own customers. Six games from the table plus one derby draw is a City week, a Chelsea week, and a week where the clubs people want to wear are the clubs that just lost.
City won at Anfield with three goals and are six from six; Liverpool lost at home. Both are in stock in every size we run, and this is the fixture that decides whether a customer buys the winning shirt or the losing one. City first, Liverpool second.
Solanke scored at Old Trafford at 90+2, and United are 13th with one win all season. United demand is steady home-shirt demand; Spurs demand is a results-dependent story, and three points in six is the harder sell.
Chelsea hit five, Arsenal won at home to stay second, and Brighton sit third with the best goal difference in the division. Chelsea is the impulse buy of the round; Arsenal and Brighton are the steady sellers.

Key takeaways
- Manchester City are six from six with 16 goals. No other side has won six of six this century season, and the 3-0 at Anfield is the result that separates them from Arsenal.
- Chelsea scored five at home for the first time in this run, with Joao Pedro twice. They move to sixth on 10 points, level with Brentford and Everton.
- Three red cards in one round, and two of them cost their side a result on the pitch: Gravenberch sent off with City already two ahead, Bentancur with United 1-0 up.
- Brighton have the best goal difference in the division (+13) and sit third on 13 points, one point behind Arsenal after a 2-0 win at Sunderland.
- Tottenham have three goals in six games, no wins and three points. Solanke at Old Trafford was one of them.
- Coventry City beat Newcastle 4-1 away and are still 14th. That gap between one weekend and the table is the clearest illustration of what a single result is worth here.
Matchweek 7
Saturday 17 October: Everton v Chelsea; Brentford v Liverpool; Fulham v Hull City; Manchester City v Ipswich Town; Newcastle United v Aston Villa.
Sunday 18 October: AFC Bournemouth v Sunderland; Brighton & Hove Albion v Crystal Palace; Leeds United v Manchester United; Nottingham Forest v Arsenal.
Our verdict
Two clubs in this round played the game the rest of the table is trying to play. City won at Anfield 3-0 with a striker who scored and a midfield that kept the ball out of trouble; Chelsea won 5-1 at home with two goals from one striker and a free-kick off the bench of a season. Everyone else took something small — a draw, a win by one, a red card, a point. If you are buying shirts on the back of this weekend, the round rewards City and Chelsea buyers immediately and punishes nobody, which is unusual. For Spurs, Coventry and Fulham supporters it is a different kind of week: three points, six goals against in two games, and the shirt still has to sell on the name alone.
